Nathan is a Registered Psychologist based in the northwest of Tasmania. He has been a registered psychologist for a year and, prior to this worked as a youth worker for approximately 10 years in the NGO sector. Nathan has also held roles at Headspace and Richmond Futures.
He has a passion for working with Tasmanians and supporting them through their mental health journeys, whatever form that may take – with particular interest in working with children and adolescents, helping them develop healthy coping skills as they transition into adulthood. He has had the privilege of working with both young and older adults, experiences that have provided him with deep job satisfaction and significant personal and professional learnings.
Nathan’s primary therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. He is actively working on strengthening and diversifying his therapy skills to offer targeted and effective interventions across the lifespan.
Nathan is highly motivated and interested in working with a wide range of individuals, including members of the LGBTIQA+ community, neurodiverse people, and individuals who have experienced trauma. As a neurodiverse person himself, Nathan has a particular passion for neurocognitive assessments.
He looks forward to joining the team at Psychology CAFFE and collaborating with clients and colleagues alike.
