Joseph Graddy

Psychologist

Joseph is a psychologist from Rotorua, New Zealand, of NZ European and NZ Māori descent, and has just recently moved to Tasmania with his cat (Phoenix) after finishing his training in mid-2023. He has previously lived in Australia while doing an OE, primarily based in Perth and Yulara (Uluru), and thoroughly enjoyed his time in Aussie. While he has never visited Tasmania prior, he is excited to go somewhere new and to discover more of the little island state. 😊

In his work, Joseph has mainly worked with neurodiverse children and their families, teaching positive parenting strategies and using his background in ABA to address high-risk and complex cases. In his work with adolescents and adults, he uses techniques from ACT, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing. Most of his work has been in the community, though he has also worked in forensic and in-patient settings.

In his free time, Joseph likes to hike, camp, play music, and play video games. His interests include science, current events, and getting lost on Wikipedia.
