Baxter is a Clinical Psychologist and board-approved supervisor, working therapeutically and providing supervision for our growing clinical team. With a strong interest in utilising holistic approaches to mental health, Baxter’s experiences have enabled him to incorporate multiple approaches (e.g. CBT, DBT, ACT and EMDR) to assist individuals in meeting their therapy goals. Baxter enjoys working with children who are experiencing behavioural challenges and focuses on the importance of working within the family unit for the best outcomes. In addition to clinical practice, Baxter’s research interest lies in problematic video game use, with publications in the field. He also completes Psychometric assessments such as Cognitive, Academic, Autism, ADHD and Diagnosis of mental health disorders across the life span.

Baxter was born in the United States but has lived most of his life in small country towns across Australia. Because of this, he is passionate about providing evidence-based practice to rural communities. Baxter enjoys spending his free time fishing, playing video games, and walking his dogs, Boof and Hammy. Baxter Lectures Clinical Psychology full-time, so he only practices after-hours for therapy sessions and weekends for psychological assessments with limited availability.
